Things to help

I am a do-er. Give me a list of things to do and I will do everything on that list. Unfortunately with PND there is no quick fix but here are some of the things I have tried and am trying.


  • CBT - Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

  • Gratitude Diary

  • Meditation - e.g. Yoga with Kate or BiBi Dallmann (Find both on Instagram)

  • Art - if you are creative or even if your not - draw, doodle, paint.

  • Exercise (I hate exercise but walking my dog helps me)

  • Go outside - even if you are sad get out in the fresh air

  • Distraction - don't get a take away, cook from scratch.



Things I have been told that I want to believe/hope are true:


  • The bond with my baby will come

  • It will get better

  • My GP - every mum I have met with PND has recovered

  • 1 in 4 women suffer some level of PND

  • You are not alone (although I feel pretty alone)
